We have appreciated all the patience while we worked from home for the last 30+ days.
However, we have decided to open our office back up Monday, April 27th!
Municipal Assembly passed an ordinance last night with a permit fee reduction of 25%. They are also backdating this to 3/12/2020, so any permits submitted on or after 3/12/2020 are subject to refund. I will link the refund request for in the comments. This also applies for all new permits.
We will be going through all projects we have submitted since that date, and requesting them for our clients.
Attention Construction Community
The world is changing daily, and we understand during these tough times that changes have to be made. Therefore today we have decided to switch all current & new permitting to electronic plan review. We are working hand-in-hand with the Municipality of Anchorage Building Safety Department to come up with a plan to move forward.
We will be working remotely, and we are open to help serve the construction industry in a time of need. If you need help converting a current project, or submitting a new project via electronic plan review, we are here to help.
We have packed up our current office, and are in the process of moving to our new location. We will be back open to walk-in customers on February 3rd, 2020.
One year ago today us Alaskan’s went through one of the biggest earthquakes of our lifetime, a 7.1 quake that shook more then just the decor in our homes.
Over the last 365 days, we have helped permit:
81: residential property earthquake repairs, a mix of geotechnical foam injections & helical pile repairs.
33: commercial properties, including some that still have not been re-opened or complete fixes done.
As fast as the roads were replaced, many Alaskan’s weren’t so lucky, and continue to repair their structural damage today. As 2019 comes to a close, we want to say thank you to the structural engineers, contractors, and the building department who have worked tirelessly to make the process as smooth as possible for so many Alaskans.
Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing Dad’s our there!
As a small family business, we are lucky enough to work with our dad every single day.
Friday we snuck out of the office to golf in the Tournament of Awesomeness benefiting Volunteers of America here in Anchorage.
Our friends at Bird TLC need salmon!
We’re desperately low on salmon and red meat. Must be unprocessed. Donations are tax-deductible and can be dropped off at

Commentary: An unsung cadre of engineers has protected us since the much more destructive 1964 earthquake.
Today we are so appreciative of engineers, architects, contractors & the building department.
Having been part of the Building department/private development community for 22 years, I am proud to see no fatalities reported so far, and minor damages so far in the Anchorage area.
We understand the coming days will be trying for quick permits to restore function, but we are here for the Anchorage community as we repair and rebuild our damaged properties.
We will be back to work bright and early Monday morning, ready to help any Anchorage businesses or residences in need of help putting back the pieces of their buildings and residences.
