Hello Implant Concierge family,

We hope this message finds you warm and well! We apologize for the delay in sending this critical message to you regarding the delays you are experiencing in some of your cases. Since Sunday, Texas has been experiencing an unprecedented winter weather storm. Due to the lack of infrastructure to handle such conditions, cities throughout Texas are experiencing mass power outages and water shortages. This has created many operational challenges that we hope to outline to you in this email:

-The Implant Concierge office as well as all remote employees in Texas are
experiencing rolling power outages.

-This means our surgical guide printing capabilities are severely hindered as we do not
have stable power to start and complete prints.

-This has also created communication challenges as many employees are not able to have stable internet connection.

UPS and Fedex have suspended all deliveries since Sunday night due to the dangerous road conditions and lack of electricity. This means Implant Concierge does not have any means to deliver a guide. If you have a surgery scheduled to take place before next Wednesday, we highly recommend you reschedule. As soon as our shipping services return, we will work tirelessly and quickly to print and ship as fast as possible.

In the meantime, some of our employees have had their power and internet return. Please do not hesitate to reach our Customer Service Team at 866-977-2228 and we will do our best to support you! We are very sorry for the inconveniences that this is causing all of us and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you,
Your Implant Concierge Team

Implant Concierge's Radiology Highlight!

Radiographic Findings:
An oval-shaped, corticated, low-density area is noted in the right mandible inferior to the mandible canal. The mandibular canal is not displaced or interrupted. The surrounding trabecular bone pattern is within normal limits. The lingual cortical plate is interrupted. No expansion of the inferior border of the mandible or buccal cortical plate detected.

Diagnosis:
Stafne defect (lingual mandibular salivary gland depression)

Suggested Treatment:
No treatment is required. Clinical assessment with patient history should be used to rule out the very rare chance (rare due to the patient's age) of a salivary gland tumor.

Implant Concierge's Radiology Highlight!

Radiographic Findings:
An irregular oval extension of the left orbit is noted extending into the left ethmoid air cells and constricting the area. The cortical outline is thin and continuous with no obvious interruption noted. The extension is medial and appears to be continuous with the internal structure of the orbit. Extending from the nasal bone anteriorly to just anterior of the sphenoid sinus. The finding is superior to the nasal co**ha and extends to the superior border of the orbit with no expansion superior.

Diagnosis:
Left orbit: finding appears to originate from the posterior portion of the left orbit. No interruption of the cortical outlines.

Suggested Treatment:
Refer to patient history for possible previous injury and recommend advanced imaging for internal soft tissue structure.

Changing a patients bite and dentition can be a complex process. This is especially true in a terminally dentate patient where their entire dentition is being changed. Many variables are involved in the wax-up process and special considerations must be taken when a guided solution is desired. This is where the Dimple Technique comes into play. Check out our latest blog to see how the Dimple Technique ensures that the restorative information for a terminally dentate patient is accurately translated into the virtual plan for a great guided result.
